Effective 15 October 2026, eligible provisional bookings will be automatically cancelled if no shipment activity—such as document submission, container release, or vessel loading confirmation—has been recorded within five calendar days following the estimated time of departure (ETD) of the first scheduled vessel.  

This revision is designed to improve network-wide capacity utilisation by enabling earlier reallocation of unutilised slots, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and transport planning reliability across Maersk’s global service network.  

Customers are advised to actively monitor the status of their provisional bookings. In cases where a shipment remains scheduled but may fall within the revised cancellation window, Maersk recommends contacting Customer Service without delay to confirm intent to proceed and secure booking validity.
