WMCT is a joint venture between Marsa Maroc—the Moroccan national port operator—and Terminal Investment Limited (TIL), MSC’s global terminal investment and operating subsidiary. Ownership is structured such that Marsa Maroc holds 50% plus one share, while TIL holds 50% minus one share.

The terminal features two deep-water berths along a 750-metre quay, equipped with modern ship-to-shore gantry cranes, and has an annual container handling capacity of 1.2 million TEUs.

The Mediterranean–US East Coast EMUSA service—operated by MSC—will be WMCT’s inaugural scheduled liner service. Vessels on this rotation will call at Nador West Med prior to proceeding to New York.
