This initiative applies bilaterally across all covered trade lanes:
— From Oceania to the U.S. East Coast, U.S. Gulf, Canada East Coast, and Latin America; and
— From the U.S. East Coast, U.S. Gulf, and Canada East Coast to Oceania.
The RRI will be applied to both tariff-based and service contract rates, in accordance with CMA CGM’s published commercial terms. It covers dry containers, refrigerated units, out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments, and payable empty containers.
The surcharge will appear as a distinct line item on freight invoices and bills of lading, and is subject to the Price Calculation Date—i.e., it applies only to shipments for which the price is finalized on or after 2 November 2026.
CMA CGM has not specified port-level applicability or an expiration date for this initiative. The adjustment reflects the carrier’s ongoing efforts to align pricing with prevailing operational cost pressures across these trade corridors.
