The final joint voyage under the current alliance arrangement will depart from Shanghai on 8 December 2026 (Voyage 650W). Thereafter, the ASAS2 service will be formally discontinued.
Moving forward, Maersk will continue to serve this trade lane independently via its standalone ASAS service. This service will remain fully operational, maintained and managed exclusively by Maersk.
Customers are assured uninterrupted booking capabilities for shipments between Asia and the East Coast of South America through the ASAS network.
According to Maersk, transitioning to full operational autonomy enables the company to enhance service responsiveness, accelerate decision-making, and align product development more closely with evolving customer needs and dynamic market conditions.
