RRI02 is implemented in addition to the carrier’s previously announced Rate Restoration Initiative (RRI01) and applies uniformly to all standard cargo—excluding specialized equipment (e.g., reefers, flatracks, open tops) and out-of-gauge shipments.  

Phase I – Effective 27 August 2026  

The following RRI02 charges will apply, effective 27 August 2026, based on the bill of lading issuance date:  

Phase II – Effective 15 September 2026  

An additional RRI02 surcharge will be applied to shipments from the US East Coast to North Europe, effective 15 September 2026. The rates are:  

• USD 50 per 20-foot container  

• USD 100 per 40-foot or 45-foot container  

This Phase II surcharge is subject to the same scope exclusions as Phase I—i.e., it does not apply to specialized equipment or out-of-gauge cargo.
