The surcharge will take effect on 1 August 2026, applicable to shipments based on the vessel loading date at the port of origin. It shall remain in force until further notice.
For reefer shipments departing from Antwerp, a prepaid surcharge of USD 500 per TEU will apply.
The surcharge covers all global destinations except the following: West Africa, East Africa, the United States and its territories, Australia, New Zealand, the Leeward and Windward Islands, the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU), the broader Caribbean region, the French West Indies, French Guiana, Guyana, and northern Brazil.
For reefer shipments departing from Rotterdam, the surcharge is set at USD 600 per TEU, subject to the same geographical exclusions and requiring prepayment.
CMA CGM stated that this adjustment reflects its commitment to sustaining high service reliability and operational efficiency for temperature-sensitive cargo across its global reefer network.
