Pacific International Lines (PIL) has inaugurated the Indonesia–Thailand Service (ITS), a new weekly intra-Southeast Asian container shipping service, effective 5 September 2026 from Port Klang. This initiative reinforces PIL’s regional network and supports growing trade flows within ASEAN.

The ITS service connects key ports across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, with scheduled calls at six strategic terminals: Port Klang (Malaysia), Singapore (Singapore), Laem Chabang (Thailand), Bangkok (Thailand), Semarang (Indonesia), and Surabaya (Indonesia). The rotation is structured as follows: 

Port Klang → Singapore → Laem Chabang → Bangkok → Laem Chabang → Singapore → Port Klang → Semarang → Surabaya → Port Klang.

Three dedicated vessels will operate the service on a weekly basis, ensuring schedule reliability and capacity consistency. PIL expects the ITS to reduce average transit times between participating ports and enhance seamless intermodal connectivity with its global network—including transshipment hubs in Singapore and Port Klang.
