The updated EFS applies to cargo movements between Northern Europe—including the United Kingdom and the ScanBaltic region—and the North East Mediterranean, as well as intra-European, intra-Greek, Turkish, and Black Sea trades. This update supersedes the customer advisory issued on 8 June 2026.

For dry cargo, the revised EFS ranges from USD 26 to USD 62 per TEU, varying by specific trade lane. Refrigerated (reefer) cargo is subject to corresponding charges of USD 39 to USD 92 per TEU.

The highest applicable rates—USD 62 per TEU for dry containers and USD 92 per TEU for reefers—will apply to shipments within the Greece–Turkey–Black Sea corridor.

MSC confirms that all other tariff components—including base freight, port dues, terminal handling charges, and ancillary fees—remain unchanged for the affected trade lanes.

The revised Emergency Fuel Surcharge remains in effect until further notice and is subject to periodic review in alignment with prevailing fuel cost indices and market conditions.
