The carrier is coordinating closely with Venezuelan port authorities, terminal operators, and other key stakeholders to ensure safe, orderly, and compliant restoration of port services—while safeguarding the continuity of customers’ supply chains. The phased recovery plan will be implemented over the coming weeks, in alignment with on-site operational readiness.  

According to the current operational schedule:  

• Week 30: AS ANGELINA (Voyage 630N) will conduct empty container evacuations only;  

• Week 31: MAERSK CAP CARMEL (Voyage 630S) will discharge full import containers exclusively;  

• Week 32: Full import and export operations are scheduled to resume, with AS ANGELINA operating Voyages 631S and 632N.  

Maersk emphasizes that this timeline remains contingent upon prevailing port conditions—including terminal infrastructure integrity, availability of handling equipment, road access reliability, completed safety inspections, and adherence to regulatory directives issued by competent Venezuelan authorities. The carrier will continue to monitor developments in real time and adjust the implementation plan as required.  

For cargo originally booked to Venezuela, any request to divert shipments to an alternative destination will incur applicable operational fees and surcharges, which remain the responsibility of the customer. Maersk further advises customers to liaise directly with their local representatives to coordinate export bookings, positioning of empty equipment, and timely release of import cargo throughout the transition period.
