Initially, the service will operate on a direct Rotterdam–Tórshavn rotation. Beginning in September 2026, it will be extended to include a scheduled port call at Ålesund, Norway.

The route will be operated by a single vessel with a nominal capacity of 700 TEU, following the circular rotation: Rotterdam → Ålesund → Tórshavn → Rotterdam.

The Purple Line represents a dedicated weekly liner service designed to strengthen integrated cargo logistics across continental Europe, Norway, and the Faroe Islands.
