The company reaffirmed that the safety of its employees, business partners, and local communities remains its highest priority, and it continues to coordinate closely with Venezuelan authorities to mitigate supply chain impacts.  

Under the updated relief package, Cargo Equipment Detention (CED) charges—including associated operational costs related to restow operations and any freight differential arising from changes to the originally scheduled port of discharge—will remain applicable.  

However, Maersk will extend an additional 15 days of free time for cargo discharged at Venezuelan ports between 22 June and 6 July 2026, subject to the condition that the corresponding empty containers have not yet been returned to the carrier.  

Maersk stated that these measures are designed to support business continuity and enhance operational resilience for customers impacted by the disruption.
