The revised surcharge will enter into force on 10 July 2026 for all cargoes originating in Far East Asia, with the exception of South Korea. For shipments departing from South Korea, the adjusted PSS will take effect starting from 24 July 2026.

Per the updated tariff schedule, the surcharge is set at US$1,000 per 20-foot dry container and US$1,000 per 20-foot reefer container.

This revised PSS applies to all cargoes moving from Far East Asian origins to destinations covering Mexico, the West Coast of South America, Central America and the Caribbean, and encompasses a full range of container equipment types, including dry containers, reefer containers, flat racks, open-top containers and tank containers.

Maersk has announced that the surcharge will remain in effect until further notice, and will be levied in accordance with the applicable Price Calculation Date (PCD) and stipulated freight payment terms.
