New service route from China to St. Petersburg launched
2026-07-09
Ruscon, a member of the Delo Group, has commenced seasonal westbound container services from China to St. Petersburg via the Northern Sea Route (NSR) during the Arctic summer navigation window, as reported by industry sources.
According to Ruscon, transit time via the NSR is approximately 30 days—roughly 15 days shorter than the conventional Suez Canal route, which averages 45 days.
The service rotation is subject to operational considerations but typically calls at Nansha, Taicang, and St. Petersburg.
Ruscon emphasizes that the NSR serves as a time-efficient, seasonally viable corridor for China–Russia containerized cargo movements within the annual Arctic navigation period.
