Hapag-Lloyd has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new bookings for cargo destined to or originating from Cuba, effective immediately, in response to the U.S. Executive Order issued on 1 May 2026. 

The company is conducting a comprehensive operational and regulatory assessment to determine the feasibility, scope, and compliance requirements for the potential resumption of services involving Cuba.  

Customers with active bookings or cargo shipments linked to Cuba are advised to review their logistics timelines and coordinate closely with their local Hapag-Lloyd representatives to explore alternative arrangements or contingency plans. 

Hapag-Lloyd will issue further official updates as the situation evolves and additional guidance becomes available from relevant authorities.
