The revised rotation is designed to enhance operational resilience and reinforce schedule reliability—key priorities for customers relying on consistent, predictable maritime connectivity.
A principal adjustment involves resequencing the port calls at Montevideo and Buenos Aires: vessels will now call Montevideo prior to Buenos Aires. Additionally, Rio Grande has been temporarily removed from the rotation due to persistent operational constraints, while Itapoa has been integrated as a new port of call to broaden regional coverage and service flexibility.
The updated rotation will take effect with the southbound voyage of the vessel "SAN RAPHAEL MAERSK", scheduled to arrive in Santos on 5 June 2026. The full revised sequence is as follows:
Southampton → Rotterdam → Hamburg → Antwerp → Tanger (southbound) → Santos (southbound) → Paranaguá (southbound) → Montevideo → Buenos Aires → Itapoa → Paranaguá (northbound) → Santos (northbound) → Tanger (northbound) → Southampton.
Notably, Southampton is serving as a temporary substitute for London Gateway within the rotation, pending further operational assessment.
CMA CGM emphasized that these adjustments collectively support improved service consistency, schedule integrity, and end-to-end reliability across the SAFRAN service.
