Maersk has announced revised import storage tariffs—billed as demurrage charges—for special equipment at the Port of Rijeka (Croatia) and the Port of Koper (Slovenia), effective from the price implementation date of 15 June 2026.

Port of Rijeka – Out-of-Gauge (OOG) Equipment

Applicable to non-dangerous cargo, the tariff structure is tiered by detention duration and container size:

  • Days 1–6: EUR 20 per 20-foot unit; EUR 40 per 40- or 45-foot unit

  • Days 7–14: EUR 60 per 20-foot unit; EUR 100 per 40- or 45-foot unit

  • Days 15–21: EUR 80 per 20-foot unit; EUR 160 per 40- or 45-foot unit

  • Day 22 onward: EUR 120 per 20-foot unit; EUR 240 per 40- or 45-foot unit

For dangerous goods, all rates are doubled across each tier:

  • Days 1–6: EUR 40 / EUR 80

  • Days 7–14: EUR 120 / EUR 200

  • Days 15–21: EUR 160 / EUR 320

  • Day 22 onward: EUR 240 / EUR 480

The tariff applies to tank containers, open-top containers, flat-rack containers, and pallet-wide containers.

Port of Koper – In-Gauge and Out-of-Gauge Special Equipment

This tariff covers both standard-gauge and out-of-gauge special equipment. The rate structure for non-dangerous goods follows the same tiered schedule as Rijeka:

  • Days 15–21: EUR 80 / EUR 160
