CMA CGM adjusts BAF on ro-ro service
2026-04-26

CMA CGM has announced an adjustment to its Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) for the roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) South service between France and Tunisia, effective 1 May 2026. This revision follows recent fluctuations in global marine fuel prices and aligns with the carrier’s standard BAF recalibration mechanism.

The updated BAF applies uniformly to both import and export shipments. Effective 1 May 2026, the following rates will apply:

• Full ro-ro units: EUR 649 per unit

• Empty ro-ro units: EUR 430 per unit

• Ro-ro cargo (including trucks, earth-moving equipment, agricultural machinery, and livestock transport vehicles): EUR 73 per lane meter

• Passenger cars and minivans: EUR 248 per unit

• Breakbulk cargo: EUR 41 per cubic meter

CMA CGM stated that this BAF adjustment is based on verified bunker cost indices and reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining operational stability, service reliability, and long-term sustainability across its intra-Mediterranean and European ro-ro network.
