Hapag-Lloyd has announced the temporary suspension of its Red Sea services JD2 and JD3, effective 10 May 2026. This measure forms part of the carrier’s broader network optimization strategy in the Red Sea region, designed to consolidate vessel deployment, enhance schedule reliability, and safeguard service continuity amid evolving operational and security conditions.

Service Impacts  

• Suspension of services: JD2 and JD3 will be temporarily withdrawn from operation, effective 10 May 2026, pending further notice.  

• Continued coverage for Jeddah: The JD1 and SE4 services will remain fully operational to ensure uninterrupted connectivity to and from the Port of Jeddah.  

• Agaba connectivity: All cargo destined for or originating from the Port of Aqaba will be accommodated via coordinated feeder services integrated with the active JD1 and SE4 rotations.
