CMA updates PSS for Mauritius and West Africa
2026-04-03

Effective 15 April 2026, a PSS of USD 250 per TEU will apply to all cargo—both dry and refrigerated—destined for Port Louis, Mauritius.

Separately, effective 27 March 2026 and subject to review, a revised PSS has been introduced for shipments from China to selected West African ports. The surcharge amounts are as follows:

• USD 225 per TEU for cargo bound for Liberia, Mauritania, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Cabo Verde, and São Tomé and Príncipe;

• USD 400 per TEU for cargo destined for Dakar (Senegal) and Freetown (Sierra Leone).

These surcharges apply uniformly to all cargo types under short-term contractual arrangements.

CMA CGM stated that the updates reflect its commitment to sustaining service reliability, network resilience, and operational efficiency amid prevailing market dynamics—including fluctuating demand, port congestion, and cost pressures across key trade lanes.
