Ocean Network Express (ONE) has enhanced its Singapore–Myanmar Service (SMM) by introducing a dedicated weekly port call at Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa (MITT), effective May 2026.  

This strategic addition strengthens Myanmar’s integration into ONE’s global network—leveraging Singapore as a key transshipment hub—and responds directly to rising cargo volumes from the Thilawa Special Economic Zone (TSEZ). Located approximately 25 km southeast of Yangon, the Thilawa area has emerged as a pivotal industrial and logistics node, supported by sustained investment in manufacturing, export-oriented production, and regional trade infrastructure.  

The inclusion of MITT provides shippers in the TSEZ and surrounding regions with improved schedule reliability, reduced inland transit times, and seamless connectivity to ONE’s extensive intra-Asia and global service portfolio.  

This enhancement aligns with ONE’s regional network optimization strategy, which prioritizes infrastructure-aligned capacity deployment, data-informed frequency adjustments, and responsive service design to support evolving trade patterns across Southeast Asia.
