The revised CFD applies to all 20-foot and 40-foot dry containers, effective per container basis.  

Revised Fee Structure:  

• 20-foot containers: USD 450 (previously USD 250)  

• 40-foot containers: USD 900 (previously USD 500)  

Effective Dates by Origin Country/Region:  

• All non-regulated countries and Vietnam: 1 November 2026  

• South Korea and Taiwan (China): 8 November 2026  

This adjustment reflects sustained operational challenges—including berth congestion, terminal dwell time extension, and resource constraints—at the Port of Durban, which continue to impact import cargo velocity and handling efficiency. The CFD was initially introduced in September 2026 at the original rates cited above, following a formal assessment of port performance metrics and stakeholder consultation.
