The fee will become effective for shipments with an estimated time of departure (ETD) from the port of loading on or after 10 October 2026. It will be levied locally at the Mexican port of discharge and collected from the consignee.  

Fee Summary:  

• Amount: USD 60 per container  

• Applicable to: All import shipments to Mexico  

• Effective basis: ETD from port of loading (not bill of lading date or arrival date) 

• Collection point: Port of discharge in Mexico  

• Responsible party: Consignee  

This charge reflects operational costs associated with customs coordination, terminal handling, documentation verification, and regulatory compliance specific to inbound container movements into Mexico.
