Hapag-Lloyd will implement an adjustment to its Terminal Handling Charges (THC) at the Port of Constanța, effective for all shipments originating from or destined to this Romanian port. The revised THC rates—comprising both Terminal Handling Charge Origin (THCO) and Terminal Handling Charge Destination (THCD)—will take effect on 1 November 2026 and remain in force until further notice. Notably, the same charge levels will apply uniformly at both origin and destination.
The updated THC schedule is as follows:
€140 | €161 | |
€150 | €171 | |
€170 | €191 | |
€180 | €201 | |
€200 | €232 | |
€210 | €242 | |
€200 | €232 | |
€210 | €242 |
The adjustments represent an increase of €21 per TEU for standard dry and refrigerated containers, and €32 per TEU for out-of-gauge and dangerous goods containers.
Hapag-Lloyd confirms that its base ocean freight tariff rates—as well as previously announced surcharges related to bunker adjustment (BAF), security (SSC), and peak-season (PSS)—remain unchanged. However, additional local charges or contingency-related fees may apply, subject to applicable regulatory frameworks and operational requirements.
