The revised PSS will take effect on 3 October 2026 for shipments originating from China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Brunei, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), and Timor-Leste. For exports originating from South Korea, the surcharge will apply from 6 October 2026. The measure remains in force until further notice.  

Applicable rates are as follows:  

- Destinations: Tuticorin, Kolkata, Haldia, Cochin, and Mangalore  

  • USD 1,000 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU)  

  • USD 1,600 per forty-foot equivalent unit (FEU)  

  • USD 1,600 per forty-five-foot high-cube dry container
