Beware of the trap! CMA CGM quietly introduces a new PSS02 surcharge

CMA CGM will implement a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS02) of USD 800 per TEU for refrigerated container shipments originating from Chile, Peru, and Ecuador and destined for North European ports.

The surcharge will apply as follows:

Origin Country	Destination Region	Cargo Type	Effective Date	Amount (USD per TEU)
Chile and Peru	North Europe	Refrigerated Container	15 Oct,2026	800
Ecuador	North Europe	Refrigerated Container	24 Oct,2026	800

The effective date is determined by the vessel’s cargo loading date at origin.

CMA CGM confirms that this surcharge applies exclusively to short-term contractual arrangements and does not extend to long-term or annual service contracts.
