These adjustments reflect elevated global energy prices and constrained diesel supply, both of which are driven by ongoing geopolitical instability in the Middle East.
Applicable IFF rates are as follows:
• Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH region):
– 10% on truck-based inland haulage (including IHI and IHE charges);
– 10% on barge movements and BCO-managed transport;
– 5% on RCO-managed transport.
• Poland:
– 12% on truck-based inland haulage (including IHI and IHE charges);
– 6% on RCO-managed transport.
All IFF percentages apply exclusively to Maersk’s published inland haulage charges—specifically IHI (Inland Haulage Inbound) and IHE (Inland Haulage Export).
The surcharge is temporary and subject to biweekly review, with adjustments made in response to evolving energy market conditions. For shipments regulated by the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), the revised IFF will take effect on 13 October 2026.
