Jeddah Port's Pier 4 has officially been confirmed for joint operation by CMA CGM
2026-09-11

The project entails an investment of SAR 1.6 billion (approximately USD 434 million) and is expected to deliver an annual container handling capacity of approximately 2.6 million TEU upon completion.

This agreement follows a non-binding term sheet executed by both parties in 2025, marking a formal advancement toward implementation. Under the terms, CMA CGM and RSGT will assume shared responsibility for the terminal’s design, construction oversight, and long-term operational management.

Terminal 4 will be equipped with ten ship-to-shore (STS) gantry cranes and integrated supporting infrastructure to accommodate modern deep-sea container vessels. The development aims to significantly enhance the Port of Jeddah’s throughput capability, reliability, and competitiveness within regional and global maritime trade networks.

A detailed construction timeline and projected commissioning date have not yet been disclosed.
