OOCL Grace is the second of seven identical 24,000-TEU methanol dual-fuel container ships under construction at NACKS for OOCL. It follows OOCL Wisdom—the series’ lead vessel—which was named in May 2026 and completed its inaugural green methanol bunkering in July 2026 prior to commencing its maiden voyage to Europe.

The delivery of OOCL Grace represents a key milestone in the phased deployment of this seven-vessel newbuilding program. OOCL states that these vessels are currently the world’s largest methanol dual-fuel container ships in operation.

This newbuilding initiative forms a core component of OOCL’s strategic fleet modernisation and decarbonisation agenda. In addition to adopting low-carbon marine fuels, the company is advancing digital transformation across its operational and commercial systems.
