The service is scheduled to commence operations in mid-August and will operate on a biweekly basis, deployed on two dedicated vessels. GT Lines confirms a scheduled transit time of nine days between Khorfakkan and Dar es Salaam.  

Designed to integrate East African export and import cargo into broader regional trade corridors, the KTX service leverages Gulftainer’s integrated maritime and logistics infrastructure—including the Khorfakkan Commercial Terminal, Sharjah Commercial Terminal, Momentum Logistics, Gulf Connect feeder network across the GCC, the Iraq Commercial Terminal at Umm Qasr, as well as GT Lines’ own services to the Far East and Indian Subcontinent—to provide seamless multimodal connectivity.  

According to GT Lines, the KTX service supports enhanced schedule reliability and expands end-to-end logistics solutions for shippers engaged in trade between East Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
