Hapag-Lloyd Announces Major SEC Route Adjustment
2026-08-01

Under the revised rotation, Salvador (Brazil) will be removed from the SEC service loop. Additionally, the seasonal port call at Montevideo (Uruguay) will be discontinued upon completion of the 2026 citrus export season.

The updated SEC service rotation will be as follows:

New York → Philadelphia → Charleston → Jacksonville → Port Everglades → Santos → Buenos Aires → Rio Grande → Itapoá → Santos → Rio de Janeiro → Pecém → New York

The final scheduled port call at Salvador will be conducted by the Maersk Frankfurt (Voyage 633N), with an estimated arrival on 27 August 2026.

The last seasonal port call at Montevideo will be conducted by the Maersk Freeport (Voyage 635N), with an estimated arrival on 29 August 2026.

According to Hapag-Lloyd, this rotation adjustment is designed to improve schedule adherence and service consistency on the liner route connecting the U.S. East Coast with the eastern seaboard of South America.
