The reconfigured AC2 service will operate a weekly loop connecting the Far East with Mexico’s Pacific ports via the rotation: Ningbo – Taicang – Busan – Lázaro Cárdenas – Manzanillo. Service commencement is scheduled for voyage 633E, with the first departure from Ningbo on 11 August 2026.  

Concurrently, Maersk will launch a dedicated West Coast Shuttle service, extending connectivity from Lázaro Cárdenas to key South American Pacific ports—including Callao (Peru), San Antonio (Chile), and Valparaíso—thereby broadening regional coverage and enabling more granular cargo distribution. 

The AC1 service, serving the Far East–West Coast of South America corridor, will also undergo revision. Its updated weekly rotation will be: Shanghai – Yokohama – Manzanillo (Mexico) – Lázaro Cárdenas – Buenaventura (Colombia) – Balboa (Panama). This revised service will likewise commence with voyage 633E, departing Shanghai on 20 August 2026.  

Maersk stated that these network optimizations are designed to strengthen end-to-end supply chain integration between Asia and Latin America, improve schedule reliability, expand port call options, and provide shippers with greater flexibility in cargo routing and transshipment planning.
