The adjustment applies to all dry, refrigerated (reefer), and special-purpose containers—including high-cube units—in 20-foot and 40-foot equivalent sizes. It will take effect for cargo gated into terminals on or after 15 August 2026, and remains in force until further notice.

Under the revised tariff structure, Hapag-Lloyd will apply a surcharge of USD 1,000 per container across all eligible shipments on the affected trade lanes.

The GRI/GRA encompasses all container types qualifying under Hapag-Lloyd’s standard tariff provisions for these North America-bound services.
