Maersk AE15 Route Double Adjustment
2026-07-21

This enhancement follows the previously announced structural realignment, whereby the AE15 service resumed transit through the Suez Canal, replacing the Cape of Good Hope alternative.

Maersk stated that the Jeddah call will strengthen end-to-end cargo access to Saudi Arabia and contribute to improved transit efficiency between Asia and Europe.

The carrier confirmed that it continues to jointly monitor the security environment in the Red Sea region with Hapag-Lloyd. Future adjustments to the Gemini network remain contingent upon evolving operational conditions in the Red Sea; robust contingency protocols—including the option to revert individual sailings or the full AE15 service to the Cape of Good Hope routing—are fully operational.
