The GRI/GRA applies uniformly to all standard dry, refrigerated, and specialized containers—including 20-foot and 40-foot units, high-cube variants, and other ISO-compliant equipment—regardless of cargo type or weight.

Effective 1 August 2026, a flat rate increase of USD 1,000 per TEU will be applied to all such shipments bound for U.S. and Canadian ports across all maritime gateways (Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf, and Great Lakes–St. Lawrence Seaway regions).

This adjustment shall apply to all full containers gated into Hapag-Lloyd’s designated terminals on or after 1 August 2026 and will remain in effect until officially amended or withdrawn by the carrier.
