The inaugural port call at the Baltic Hub in Gdańsk is scheduled for late August 2026.
This service reinforces the Port of Gdańsk’s strategic role as a rapidly emerging gateway for Asian cargo destined for Central and Eastern Europe. With the introduction of AEU7, Gdańsk will host two dedicated direct Far East services—complementing COSCO’s existing AEU1 loop—and further consolidates its position as a multimodal logistics hub within the EU’s TEN-T network.
The AEU7 rotation comprises the following ports of call:
Gdańsk → Rotterdam → Zeebrugge → Port Klang → Shanghai → Xiamen → Hong Kong → Yantian → Cái Mép → Singapore → Felixstowe → Rotterdam → Hamburg → Gdańsk
COSCO stated that the AEU7 service enhances schedule reliability, improves capacity allocation across the North–South corridor, and expands direct connectivity to high-growth Southeast Asian manufacturing and export centers.
The launch also strengthens trade linkages between Poland and key production hubs in Vietnam and Malaysia—supporting European shippers’ ongoing efforts to diversify sourcing and build more resilient, geographically balanced supply chains.
This expansion responds directly to rising demand for efficient, end-to-end ocean freight solutions linking Northern European import markets with Asia’s dynamic export economies—particularly amid evolving trade patterns and regional infrastructure investments under the EU’s Global Gateway initiative.
