Ocean Network Express (ONE) has placed an order with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries for six 15,000-TEU dual-fuel containerships capable of operating on liquefied natural gas (LNG), according to industry sources.

Each vessel is valued at approximately USD 203 million. The order underscores ONE’s strategic commitment to fleet modernisation and maritime decarbonisation, aligning with its broader sustainability roadmap and International Maritime Organization (IMO) 2030/2050 greenhouse gas reduction targets. 

Upon delivery, these newbuildings are expected to enhance the carrier’s long-haul network capacity, improve energy efficiency, and significantly reduce operational carbon intensity compared to conventional fuel-powered vessels.
