CNC has expanded its BBX3 service to include a bi-weekly port call at Kuala Tanjung Terminal in North Sumatra, Indonesia—marking the first inclusion of this deep-water port in the BBX3 rotation. This enhancement strengthens export connectivity from Sumatra and adjacent industrial corridors to major Asian markets, including China, Vietnam, and key Southeast Asian hubs.
The adjustment becomes effective with the implementation of an updated port rotation, optimized to align with intensifying intra-Asian trade flows—particularly between Indonesia, Vietnam, and Southern China.
The revised BBX3 loop will serve the following ports in sequence: Nansha (China) → Shekou (China) → Chittagong (Bangladesh) → Kuala Tanjung (Indonesia) → Singapore → Port Klang (Malaysia) → Da Nang (Vietnam) → Nghi Son (Vietnam) → Haiphong (Vietnam), and return to Nansha.
Strategically located on the western coast of North Sumatra and adjacent to the Strait of Malacca, Kuala Tanjung Terminal offers enhanced hinterland access, reduced transshipment dependency, and improved schedule reliability for Indonesian exporters. Its integration into BBX3 enables more direct, time-efficient routing options to regional destinations and global gateways.
