Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced a strategic revision to the port rotation of its Latin East Coast Europe Express (LUX) service, effective 6 May 2026. This adjustment reflects a data-driven optimization of vessel deployment and port call sequencing to enhance schedule reliability, reduce transit variability, and reinforce ONE’s competitive positioning on the Europe–Latin America trade corridor.

Under the revised configuration, Felixstowe (UK) will be permanently removed from the LUX rotation, and southbound port calls at Paranaguá (Brazil) will also be discontinued. These changes follow a comprehensive review of cargo volume trends, terminal productivity metrics, and vessel utilization efficiency across the route—aiming to eliminate underutilized stops and consolidate volume at higher-capacity, better-connected hubs.

The updated rotation—commencing with the vessel "Navios Vermilion" (Voyage 163S/N), scheduled to arrive in Rotterdam on 6 May 2026—will follow this sequence:  

Rotterdam → Hamburg → Antwerp → Lisbon → Algeciras → Santos → Buenos Aires → Montevideo → Itajaí → Paranaguá → Santos → Rio de Janeiro → Algeciras → Rotterdam  

Notably, while Paranaguá remains in the loop, it will now be served exclusively on the northbound leg (i.e., following the Santos–Buenos Aires–Montevideo–Itajaí segment), eliminating the previous southbound call. This reconfiguration improves vessel dwell time predictability and supports more consistent weekly departures.

The final LUX vessel calling at Felixstowe under the current rotation will be "NYK Diana" (Voyage 022N/023S), with an estimated arrival on 23 April 2026. The last southbound call at Paranaguá will be performed by "Brooklyn Bridge" (Voyage 0179S/N), scheduled to arrive on 23 May 2026.

These refinements align with ONE’s broader network strategy of “right-sizing” services through evidence-based port rationalization—balancing coverage, frequency, and asset efficiency—thereby strengthening end-to-end service quality and long-term resilience for shippers engaged in transatlantic trade.
