OOCL launches Southeast Asia-Indian service
2026-04-06

OOCL has launched the Southeast Asia–Indian Subcontinent Service (SIS), its first dedicated deep-sea container shipping service linking Southeast Asia with key ports on India’s west coast and in Pakistan.

Scheduled to commence on 24 April 2026, the SIS offers a direct, scheduled, and fully integrated connection between major regional gateways—including Laem Chabang (Thailand), Singapore, Port Klang (Malaysia), Nhava Sheva (India), Mundra (India), and Karachi (Pakistan)—with a weekly loop returning via Port Klang and Singapore to Laem Chabang.

This service strengthens end-to-end supply chain resilience across the region by reducing transshipment dependency, shortening average transit times, and expanding capacity for time-sensitive and high-volume trade flows between Southeast Asia, India, and Pakistan. It directly supports evolving customer requirements and sustained demand growth in these strategically interconnected markets.
