The initial surcharge is applicable to cargo emanating from Mediterranean seaports, encompassing France (Fos/Marseilles), Portugal, Italy, Spain (Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto, Vigo), and Morocco, with consignments destined for the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, the U.S. Gulf Coast, and all contiguous inland locations accessible via these maritime gateways.
For both dry and refrigerated (reefer) cargo, the specified surcharge is established at a rate of USD 250 for each 20-foot container and USD 500 for each 40-foot, 40-foot high cube, and 45-foot container.
Concurrently, the French maritime carrier will institute a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) pertaining to shipments originating from North European ports, which includes Northern France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic states, Northern Spain (Bilbao, Gijon), Portugal, and Türkiye, with final destinations at the Western Seaboard of the United States and all associated inland points of delivery reachable via these ports.
The PSS for dry cargo is set at USD 250 per 20-foot container and USD 500 for each 40-foot, 40-foot high cube, and 45-foot container, whereas the surcharge for reefer cargo remains consistent at USD 250 per 20-foot container and USD 500 for each 40-foot and 45-foot container.
Moreover, an independent Peak Season Surcharge is in effect for cargo shipments originating from Türkiye, destined for the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, the U.S. Gulf Coast, and the pertinent inland destinations served by these ports. The imposed surcharge for both dry and reefer cargo is USD 300 per 20-foot container.
Finally, CMA CGM has declared an additional surcharge for cargo originating from all North European ports, which includes Northern France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic states, Northern Spain (Bilbao, Gijon), and also the Western Mediterranean ports such as France (Fos/Marseilles), Portugal, Italy, Spain (Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto, Vigo), Morocco, and Türkiye, with final destinations at the Eastern Seaboard of Canada and the corresponding inland destinations served by these ports.
