Breaking! Hapag-Lloyd officially announces cancellation of Genoa port call
2026-10-29

Hapag-Lloyd has announced the cancellation of the scheduled port call by vessel MSC Meline (Voyage MM643A) at Genoa, Italy, as a schedule recovery measure. The vessel operates on the Mediterranean–South America East Coast (MSE) service and was originally scheduled to berth in Genoa on 27 October 2026.

For import cargo previously designated for discharge in Genoa, alternative handling arrangements have been implemented: such cargo will now be discharged at Livorno, Italy, and subsequently transshipped via MSC Albany (Voyage MM644A), which is scheduled to call at Livorno on 30 October 2026.

Export cargo originating from Genoa will be accommodated on the earliest available vessels, with routing determined by Hapag-Lloyd based on updated service schedules and optimal transit times.

All affected customers will receive revised booking confirmations specifying the new carrying vessel and related operational details. Customers are advised to update their shipping documentation—including bills of lading, customs declarations, and logistics instructions—accordingly to ensure seamless cargo movement and regulatory compliance.
