Hapag-Lloyd will implement revised Inland Fuel Floater rates for applicable inland transportation services in Italy, effective 2 November 2026 for non-FMC-regulated shipments and 21 November 2026 for shipments subject to U.S. Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) regulations.

This adjustment responds to sustained volatility in global energy markets and persistent fluctuations in diesel fuel prices—key cost drivers for inland haulage operations.

Revised Inland Fuel Floater Rates for Italy (Effective November 2026)

The revised floater applies uniformly to both Fuel Origin Inland and Fuel Destination Inland charges associated with import and export inland haulage to and from Italian ports. It covers all standard dry, refrigerated, and special-purpose container types.

Tariff Application Criteria  

• For imports: The applicable rate is determined by the container collection date from the port of discharge.  

• For FMC-regulated exports: The rate is based on the full-container gate-in date at the original loading port.  

• For non-FMC-regulated exports: The rate is determined by the vessel’s scheduled departure date from the port of loading.
