Maersk will increase its Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS) for laden import containers at the Port of Felixstowe from £3.82 to £4.13 per container, effective 1 October 2026. 

This adjustment follows an advisory issued by Hutchison Ports, the port operator.  

The increase represents a net uplift of £0.31 per laden import container. Maersk has indicated that a further review of the EFS will be conducted on 15 October 2026 to determine the applicable rate for November 2026.
