Hapag-Lloyd announces a uniform USD 100 per-container surcharge on ocean freight rates for dry cargo containers shipped from Europe to key destinations in South-East India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, effective for vessel departures commencing on 1 October 2026.

The revised rates apply as follows:

For 20-foot dry containers originating from Southern Europe:

- Ennore: USD 877 → USD 977  

- Chittagong: USD 1,625 → USD 1,725  

- Colombo: USD 925 → USD 1,025  

For 40-foot dry containers originating from Northern Europe:

- Ennore: USD 609 → USD 709  

- Chittagong: USD 1,190 → USD 1,290  

- Colombo: USD 490 → USD 590  

This adjustment represents a consistent USD 100 increase per container across all specified trade lanes and container types.
