Maersk announces major changes to Italy transport surcharges

For road haulage (truck) movements, the Export Fuel Surcharge and Import Fuel Surcharge will be set at 16%.

For rail/container-on-flatcar (RCO) movements, the corresponding surcharges will be set at 8%.

The revised IFF percentages will apply as follows:

• For non-Federal Maritime Commission (non-FMC) shipments: effective from the Price Calculation Date of 1 September 2026;

• For FMC-regulated shipments: effective from the Price Calculation Date of 24 September 2026.

These updated rates supersede all previously published IFF percentages. Maersk will conduct a monthly review of fuel-related cost indices and reserves the right to adjust the IFF percentages prospectively should significant and sustained changes occur in global energy markets.
