2026-05-18

Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company (ACCH) has formally launched a competitive tender process for new cargo handling equipment to enhance operational capacity, reliability, and service standards across its container terminal facilities in Alexandria, Egypt.

The tender package comprises: (1) one ship-to-shore (STS) crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 75 tonnes, designated for the Alexandria Container Terminal; and (2) seven rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, each with a lifting capacity of up to 40 tonnes, to be deployed across the Alexandria Container Terminal and El Dekheila Container Terminal.

This procurement initiative supports ACCH’s medium-term infrastructure modernisation strategy, reinforcing its commitment to meeting rising import/export volumes, complying with international port performance benchmarks, and advancing Egypt’s national logistics development objectives.
