X-Press Feeders has officially launched the South China–Java Express (SCJX), a new intra-Asia container service designed to strengthen maritime connectivity and logistics integration between the Pearl River Delta and major ports on Indonesia’s island of Java. 

The service is operated through a strategic consortium comprising X-Press Feeders, Gold Star Line, and Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL). Gold Star Line markets the service under the branding “South China–Indonesia Express” (SIX), while OOCL participates via a slot charter agreement under the CIS3 framework.  

The SCJX loop follows a fixed weekly rotation: Shenzhen (Yantian) → Xiamen → Nansha → Jakarta → Surabaya → Shenzhen (Yantian), ensuring seamless end-to-end coverage across high-volume manufacturing and distribution hubs in both regions.  

By consolidating capacity, optimizing port sequencing, and aligning with regional trade patterns, the SCJX service enhances schedule reliability, reduces average transit times, and expands direct containerized capacity—thereby supporting resilient supply chains and facilitating sustained growth in bilateral trade between South China and Indonesia.
