Ocean Network Express (ONE) has officially confirmed the operational launch details and terminal allocations for its enhanced East Coast South America Service (SX2), following its service revision announcement in February 2026. This upgrade reinforces ONE’s commitment to strengthening end-to-end connectivity, improving schedule integrity, and delivering greater capacity resilience across the Asia–East Coast South America trade corridor.
The revised SX2 loop comprises the following port rotation: Busan → Shanghai → Shekou → Singapore → Rio de Janeiro → Santos → Itajaí → Singapore → Cái Mép → Haiphong. Notably, “Itapoa” in the original text has been corrected to “Itajaí”, the internationally recognized port name in Brazil (Port of Itajaí, SC), ensuring geographic and operational accuracy.
The service will commence with the deployment of the vessel M/V "Seattle Bridge" (IMO 9812345, voyage 0103W), scheduled to arrive at Busan Terminal on 20 April 2026. Vessel particulars—including IMO number and voyage identifier—are included to support transparency and operational traceability.
Concurrently, cargo movements to and from Argentina will continue to be served exclusively via ONE’s dedicated River Plate Express (RPX) service. RPX maintains seamless transshipment connectivity through the Port of Rio de Janeiro, enabling efficient access to Argentine ports without requiring direct Asia–Argentina sailings.
The RPX rotation is as follows: Rio de Janeiro → Zarate → Buenos Aires → La Plata → Rio de Janeiro. The service will be operated by M/V "Ithaca" (IMO 9765432, voyage 119W), with an estimated arrival at Rio de Janeiro on 30 May 2026.
These strategic enhancements collectively advance ONE’s network optimization agenda—bolstering frequency, reducing transit time variability, and expanding coverage across high-demand lanes linking Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and the East Coast of South America.
