According to estimates, over 20% of containers are returned empty to their ports of origin. CCS has introduced the SeaFold 40' container, which has the potential to reduce the costs associated with repositioning empty containers by 56%, save 80% in storage space, and decrease carbon emissions by 70%.
The SeaFold 40' has been designed and constructed in accordance with the standards set by Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, ISO, the International Convention for Safe Containers, and the International Union of Railways. It is fully compatible with all standard port lifting equipment and container handling systems.
Charlie Santos-Buch, Chairman and CEO of CCS, stated, “The ability to fit five of our folded containers in the same space as one 40’ high-cube standard container is a transformative advancement in container management. It maximizes storage capacity and significantly reduces carbon emissions.”
He further emphasized, “Our containers enhance safety and efficiency in operations and storage at ports, terminals, or depots, which is particularly crucial during peak seasons when congestion is prevalent and the movement of empty containers is a priority.”
The SeaFold 40' offers extensive benefits across global supply chains, with clear advantages in road and rail transport, as well as terminal storage and logistics.
